Middle Accountant – Accounts Payable

About the role

We are seeking a Middle Accountant to join our global shared‑service Accounts Payable team in Argentina. You will ensure payment operations are accurate, compliant, and aligned with US GAAP while collaborating with local statutory accountants and internal stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Review expenditure documentation to verify accounting accuracy.
• Organize and execute vendor payments, including domestic and international wires, batch and individual transactions.
• Post company expenses in accordance with US GAAP, covering accounts payable and banking activities.
• Complete monthly account‑closing activities in SAP following internal procedures.
• Partner with local statutory accountants to resolve bookkeeping issues.
• Provide clarifications and supporting documentation to senior accountants as needed.
• Handle inquiries from internal and external stakeholders, attend meetings, and prepare audit documentation.
• Support IT‑led process‑improvement initiatives, identify optimization opportunities, and test new processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum 2 years of professional accounting experience.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to compliance.
• Responsibility and ownership for assigned tasks.
• Ability to work within established guidelines and procedures.
• Motivation for continuous self‑development.
• Collaborative mindset with experience in multicultural teams.
• English proficiency at B2+ (Upper‑Intermediate) level, written and spoken.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel for analysis and reporting.
• Proficiency with SAP for accounting activities.
• Hands‑on experience with MS Office.
