Medical Biller & Coder (Remote – Argentina)

About the role

This is a remote, LATAM‑based contractor position supporting outpatient mental health centers. The Medical Biller & Coder will translate clinical documentation into accurate diagnosis and procedure codes, submit claims, and support the end‑to‑end revenue cycle.

Key responsibilities

• Review clinical notes, treatment plans and provider credentials to ensure all required elements are present before billing.
• Assign CPT, ICD‑10‑CM and HCPCS codes, enter charges into the EHR/billing system, and submit claims in compliance with payer requirements.
• Verify patient demographics, insurance details and payer information prior to claim submission.
• Identify, correct and resubmit rejected claims, and support denial resolution activities.
• Maintain audit‑ready billing records, escalate missed charges and follow established workflows.
• Assist with billing backlogs, participate in quality reviews, and provide coverage during team absences.

Required profile

• 2–4 years of U.S. medical billing and coding experience, preferably in outpatient mental health.
• Working knowledge of CPT, ICD‑10‑CM and basic HCPCS coding.
• Familiarity with U.S. insurance, Medicaid and managed‑care billing processes.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
• Professional coding certification (CPC or equivalent) preferred.
