Media Specialist

About the role

Publicity For Good (PFG) is a U.S.-based public relations firm that partners with purpose‑driven brands. We are looking for a Media Specialist to support our Publicist and PR Manager with day‑to‑day media and client operations on a full‑time contract basis. The role is focused on handling administrative tasks, managing media inquiries, and ensuring timely delivery of reports and media opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and respond to media inquiry inbox, delivering daily PR opportunities to clients.
• Coordinate client‑media interviews, follow‑up with contacts, and update coverage books and live links.
• Track weekly product requests, prepare daily/weekly/monthly reports, and keep Airtable, PR agendas, and the PR Playbook up to date.
• Conduct industry research, build media lists, schedule meetings, and create presentation slides.
• Support team projects and initiatives, ensuring accurate and timely communication with clients and media partners.

Required profile

• 1‑2 years experience as an Executive Assistant, PR Assistant, or Media Coordinator.
• Strong internet connection and ability to work autonomously during CST business hours.
• Excellent communication, organization, and time‑management skills.
• Analytical, proactive, detail‑oriented, with a customer‑service mindset.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Slack, Zoom, and Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive, Calendar).
• Experience using Airtable for tracking and reporting.
• Familiarity with PR tools such as Cision.
• Comfort with file‑sharing platforms like Dropbox and OneDrive.
