Mechanical Engineer / Designer – Remote (US Projects)

About the role

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer/Designer with at least three years of experience in MEP design for commercial building projects. This remote, near‑shore position supports a U.S.-based architectural engineering firm working across retail, workplace, hospitality, restaurant, and other commercial environments.

Key responsibilities

• Develop mechanical drawings, layouts, and technical documentation using Revit and AutoCAD.
• Support HVAC and mechanical system design for a variety of commercial projects.
• Perform mechanical load calculations, ventilation calculations, psychrometric analysis, and equipment sizing.
• Prepare energy‑compliance documentation with tools such as COMcheck or Title 24.
• Review submittals, shop drawings, and RFIs; coordinate with architects, owners, consultants, and internal teams.
• Participate in remote coordination meetings and communicate clearly in English.
• Manage assigned tasks, deadlines, and deliverables with limited supervision.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience as a Mechanical Designer or Engineer in an engineering consulting environment serving U.S. firms.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Professional, conversational level of English and ability to work remotely with U.S. teams.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines independently.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.
• Mechanical load calculations, ventilation calculations, psychrometric analysis, equipment sizing.
• Experience with energy‑compliance tools such as COMcheck or Title 24.
• Familiarity with mechanical codes and standards: IMC, IECC, ASHRAE 90.1.
• Ability to read, interpret, and implement mechanical design documentation.
