Litigation Law Clerk (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Litigation Law Clerk to provide remote support to Jasmine Daya & Co., a Toronto‑based firm specializing in cross‑border private lending law. The successful candidate will work closely with lawyers to manage court deadlines, prepare litigation documents, and coordinate case activities.

Key responsibilities

• Draft and prepare notices of motion, affidavits, certificates of service, and other litigation documents.
• Compile and organize Motion Records, Affidavits of Documents and documentary productions.
• Review client files, identify required evidence, and maintain electronic litigation files.
• Prepare and follow up on requests for medical, employment, income, insurance and other records.
• File court materials through electronic filing systems and serve documents to opposing counsel.
• Schedule examinations, mediations, motions, hearings and coordinate availability of all parties.
• Monitor limitation periods, court deadlines and maintain litigation calendars.
• Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, court staff and third‑party service providers.
• Provide general administrative support to lawyers throughout the litigation process.

Required profile

• Prior litigation experience in a Canadian or U.S. law firm.
• Highly organized, detail‑oriented and able to manage multiple deadlines.
• Strong written communication skills and ability to prepare professional legal documents with limited supervision.
• A law degree from the candidate’s home country is desirable but not mandatory.
