Lead Site Reliability Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a hands‑on Lead Site Reliability Engineer to maintain, enhance, and support a Java services ecosystem while partnering closely with a backend engineering team. You will strengthen reliability, observability, and on‑call practices across critical identity services.

Key responsibilities

• Provide on‑call support for Java backend identity services during business hours and troubleshoot complex production issues using logs and telemetry.
• Prepare and deploy patches, implement reliability improvements through code and configuration changes, and build metrics and dashboards for rapid health assessment.
• Monitor SLOs, drive remediation when error rates increase, and create/ improve runbooks to standardize operational responses.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering or DevOps for distributed systems.
• Strong experience with Amazon Web Services in production environments, including DynamoDB and ElastiCache.
• Proven expertise in observability, troubleshooting, Git‑based workflows, and Gradle in Java service environments.
• Leadership, incident‑response communication, fast learning ability, and SLO management skills.
