Lead Backend Data Engineer

About the role

Blend360 is looking for a Lead Backend Data Engineer to design and build scalable Java‑based backend systems. You will drive the architecture of distributed, high‑performance data pipelines and mentor a growing engineering team.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement production‑grade Java applications with advanced concurrency and multi‑threading techniques.
• Lead the development of distributed systems and big‑data pipelines using Apache Spark and Airflow.
• Manage containerized workloads on Kubernetes, defining deployment and scaling strategies.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define APIs, service contracts, and integration patterns.
• Implement observability solutions with Grafana, Prometheus or Loki and support production deployments.

Required profile

• 5+ years of backend engineering experience with a strong focus on distributed systems.
• Advanced English communication skills for global team interaction.
• Proven ability to mentor junior and mid‑level engineers.
