KYC Associate – Client Onboarding

About the role

The KYC Associate works within the Client Onboarding team to assess new and existing customers, ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal standards. The role involves detailed analysis of client documentation, legal and commercial records, and the execution of AML policies.

Key responsibilities

• Perform KYC and client documentation analysis for new customers and amendments.
• Identify and apply regulatory requirements across multiple jurisdictions.
• Study legal and commercial documents to understand client activity, structure, and risk.
• Execute AML policies and internal procedures in line with local and global principles.
• Interact daily with Sales/Bankers to obtain required documents and advise on onboarding status.
• Conduct quality control to ensure clients meet all applicable rules.
• Follow up on pending client documentation with internal Lines of Business.
• Prepare regulatory reports and maintain regional client setup metrics.
• Collaborate with Legal, Compliance, Internal Controls, Technology, and other onboarding teams.

Required profile

• University degree in Business Administration, Economics, Law, IT, Engineering or related field.
• Fluent English (written and spoken) for daily formal communication.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience, preferably within a financial institution.
• Experience managing time‑sensitive projects and documentation workflows.
• Proven ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
