Junior Power Systems Engineer

About the role

Satellogic is seeking a Junior Power Systems Engineer to join its Power Subsystem team within the Research & Development group. The role focuses on the design, development, implementation and validation of the energy generation, storage and distribution systems that power our satellites. Working in a hybrid model based in Buenos Aires (or Córdoba) you will contribute to the full lifecycle of satellite power architecture, from requirement definition through on‑orbit operations.

Key responsibilities

• Support the definition, management and validation of system‑level and component‑level requirements for the satellite power subsystem, including solar arrays, batteries and power distribution boards.
• Assist in solving complex technical challenges by developing architectures and validating power systems for hardware‑constrained satellites.
• Help ensure energy balance, efficiency and reliability throughout the design, integration and on‑orbit phases.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and travel to the Uruguay facility as required.

Required profile

• Junior‑level engineering background with interest in space‑based power systems.
• Willingness to work in a hybrid setting and travel to the Uruguay site.
• Strong analytical mindset and ability to work within a multidisciplinary R&D environment.

Required skills

• Understanding of satellite power subsystems (solar arrays, batteries, power conditioning and distribution).
