Junior Email & SMS Marketing Specialist

About the role

This entry‑level position supports the marketing team of a fast‑growing youth sports operator. You will work closely with the Director of Marketing to execute email and SMS campaigns that drive customer acquisition and retention.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in building, scheduling, QAing, and launching email and SMS campaigns using Twilio and SendGrid.
• Help set up and test automated lifecycle flows such as onboarding, re‑engagement, and retention triggers.
• Support audience list management, segmentation, and documentation of workflows.
• Prepare email templates in collaboration with the design team and maintain asset libraries.
• Set up A/B tests, track performance metrics, and compile regular reports on open rates, click‑through rates, conversions, and unsubscribes.
• Ensure compliance with CASL, CAN‑SPAM, and GDPR and assist with list hygiene tasks.

Required profile

• Analytical and detail‑oriented with a curiosity for data‑driven marketing.
• Strong written communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
• Eagerness to learn lifecycle marketing strategy, technology, and optimization techniques.

Required skills

• Experience or familiarity with Twilio.
• Experience or familiarity with SendGrid.
• Basic knowledge of A/B testing and campaign performance tracking.
