Junior Email & SMS Marketing Specialist

About the role

This entry‑level position supports the marketing team of a fast‑growing youth sports operator. You will work closely with the Director of Marketing to execute email and SMS campaigns that drive customer acquisition and retention.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in building, scheduling, QAing, and launching email and SMS campaigns using Twilio and SendGrid.
• Help set up and QA automated lifecycle flows such as onboarding, re‑engagement, and retention triggers.
• Support audience list management, segmentation, and documentation of workflows.
• Prepare and format email templates in collaboration with the design team.
• Coordinate campaign timelines, internal deliverables, and marketing calendars.
• Set up A/B tests, track results, and compile performance reports (open rates, click‑through rates, conversions, etc.).
• Identify trends in campaign data and suggest optimization opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with CASL, CAN‑SPAM, and GDPR regulations and assist with list hygiene tasks.

Required profile

• Analytical, curious, and detail‑oriented.
• Foundational knowledge of email or digital marketing.
• Enthusiastic about data‑driven messaging and lifecycle marketing.
