Junior Buyer – Global Business Services

About the role

Join Siemens' Global Business Services team as a Junior Buyer, supporting the end‑to‑end procurement process and ensuring timely delivery of materials across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full purchase order lifecycle, including confirmations, delivery updates, and SAP data accuracy.
• Monitor and expedite past‑due orders by collaborating with suppliers and internal teams.
• Process purchase order changes such as reschedules and cancellations while keeping stakeholders informed.
• Coordinate Return to Vendor (RTV) activities for non‑conforming or excess materials.
• Investigate inventory discrepancies, supplier non‑conformance, and support Material Review Board (MRB) processes.
• Perform GR/IR reconciliation and invoice processing, partnering with suppliers, Procurement, and Accounts Payable to resolve discrepancies.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Supply Chain Management or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Advanced level of English (mandatory).
• Experience in procurement, supply chain, purchasing or order‑management operations.
• Proficiency with SAP or a comparable ERP system.
• Strong Excel skills, including VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables and data analysis.
• Experience with mass data entry and high‑volume transaction processing.
• Knowledge of Tableau or PowerBI is a plus.
