IT Onsite Support Engineer

About the role

The IT Onsite Support Engineer will provide hands‑on end‑user support for desktop, laptop, and peripheral equipment. Working directly with business users and multiple stakeholders, the engineer ensures that technology issues are resolved quickly without disrupting operations.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain PCs, printers, scanners, mobile devices, telephone systems, and wireless networks.
• Manage Windows client administration, including OS deployment, application rollout, and configuration via Microsoft Intune, SCCM, and Autopilot.
• Provide on‑site troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network problems, logging and resolving tickets within agreed service levels.
• Maintain and update desktop infrastructure, performing routine maintenance and lifecycle management of laptops and desktops.
• Collaborate with the Technology team to propose system improvements and ensure efficient operation of the desktop environment.
• Coordinate with third‑party vendors and support partners when necessary.

Required profile

• Proven hands‑on experience in end‑user support and desktop/laptop lifecycle management.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with a customer‑focused attitude.
• Excellent communication skills to explain technical issues to both technical teams and business stakeholders.
• Ability to work in a global delivery environment and manage multiple priorities.

Required skills

• Windows 10 / Windows 11 support and migration.
• Microsoft Intune (including Autopilot) and SCCM.
• VMware Horizon.
• Windows client administration.
• PC hardware installation and peripheral configuration.
• Telephone system setup and wireless networking.
• Basic network device and server support.
• End‑to‑End Desktop/Laptop lifecycle management.
