General Ledger Controller

About the role

The General Ledger Controller will partner closely with the Business Shared Services Center in Argentina to lead key General Ledger functions for the North America cluster. This role ensures accurate month‑end close, reserve accounting, and supports audit activities while providing technical accounting expertise.

Key responsibilities

• Approve monthly journal entries and review balance‑sheet reconciliations prepared by the Business Service Center.
• Manage reserve accounting for items such as medical, insurance, pension, bad debt, and asset retirement obligations.
• Prepare and present quarterly reserve schedules to the CFO and support external audit processes.
• Develop technical accounting memoranda and answer complex reporting questions.
• Maintain desk‑procedure documentation and drive process‑improvement projects.
• Provide ad‑hoc schedules for planning, decision‑making, and special projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Management (or equivalent experience).
• 6+ years of accounting experience; CPA or CPA candidate preferred.
• Strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Ability to multitask, adapt to changing environments, and work both autonomously and collaboratively.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
• Proficiency with Google Workspace tools.
