General Ledger Accountant

About the role

Parexel is seeking a detail‑oriented General Ledger Accountant to join its Controllership team supporting LATAM entities. This remote position is open to candidates located anywhere in Argentina and offers the chance to work in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment within a global CRO.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain General Ledger journal entries with proper documentation and audit trails.
• Own key aspects of the monthly close, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Ensure accuracy of balance‑sheet and P&L accounts under US GAAP and local GAAP.
• Prepare and analyze monthly balance‑sheet reconciliations and support statutory financial statements.
• Partner with cross‑functional teams to manage intercompany transactions and closing activities.
• Assist with audits, tax filings (Corporate Income Tax, VAT, withholding taxes) and reporting packages for leadership.
• Identify process‑improvement opportunities and help implement solutions.

Required profile

• 1–2 years of experience in accounting or Record‑to‑Report processes.
• Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail.
• Ability to meet deadlines, work under pressure and adapt to new automation tools.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field; CPA/ACCA/CIMA preferred.

Required skills

• Experience with ERP systems (Oracle preferred).
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Knowledge of US GAAP (a plus).
• Advanced proficiency in English.
