General Accounting Specialist

About the role

The General Accounting Specialist will join the local Finance team covering Argentina, Uruguay, and Paraguay. You will be responsible for accurate recording, reconciliation, and month‑end close of financial operations while ensuring compliance with internal policies and local/international accounting standards.

Key responsibilities

• Record recurring and non‑recurring accounting entries with full traceability.
• Prepare monthly balance‑sheet reconciliations and support month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end closing processes.
• Produce financial statements in accordance with local accounting standards.
• Coordinate internal and external audits, preparing documentation and addressing observations.
• Supply tax advisors with data for income‑tax calculations, transfer‑pricing analysis, and tax provisions.
• Identify and implement process‑automation opportunities using tools, macros, and AI.
• Act as a reference point for transaction clarification, procedures, and internal controls.
• Participate in system‑change projects and strengthen internal controls.

Required profile

• University degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 3–5 years of accounting experience in multinational companies or Big Four audit firms.
• Advanced English (written and spoken) for global communication.
• Experience with SAP; familiarity with AI‑based tools is a plus.
