Front Desk Manager – Cruise Ship

About the role

The Front Desk Manager leads the Guest Relations team aboard a Celebrity Cruises vessel, ensuring every guest receives premium, memorable service. This role acts as the bridge between the Front Desk team and all hotel and marine departments, proactively anticipating guest needs.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain a constant presence of professionalism and emergency preparedness across front and back‑of‑house Front Desk operations.
• Serve as the brand voice and physical representative of the ship, delivering personalized service to guests and crew.
• Resolve guest issues in line with Celebrity Cruises’ Standards of Excellence and track guest sentiment.
• Oversee team development, performance, training, and financial results.
• Manage administrative duties, including guest count metrics, desk volume analysis, inventory control, and cash float operations.
• Ensure compliance with public health, safety, environmental, and company policies.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 + years experience in a Front Desk Managerial or General Manager role within a boutique or 4‑5‑star hotel environment.
• Proven ability to handle 100+ guests and supervise 30+ team members.
• Strong leadership, communication, and decision‑making skills; ability to work under pressure.
• Willingness to work shipboard and maintain emergency readiness.
• Conversational proficiency in additional languages (Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, French, German) is preferred.
