Freelance Quantum Research Scientist (Python)

About the role

We are looking for a freelance Quantum Research Scientist to design and develop computational physics problems for AI training projects. The role is project‑based, remote, and ideal for researchers comfortable with Python and numerical simulation.

Key responsibilities

• Design original computational physics problems that reflect real research workflows.
• Create Python‑based problem sets using NumPy, SciPy, SymPy and other physics simulation libraries.
• Ensure problems are computationally intensive and cannot be solved manually within reasonable timeframes.
• Develop problems across mechanics, electromagnetism, thermodynamics, and quantum mechanics.
• Base tasks on real research challenges or practical physics applications.
• Verify solutions programmatically and provide clear documentation with correct answers.

Required profile

• Degree in Physics (theoretical, experimental, or computational) or a related field.
• Strong Python proficiency for numerical validation.
• 2+ years of professional experience in research, applied physics, or teaching.
• Experience with numerical simulation methods and physics modeling techniques.
• Creative problem‑design mindset and ability to mirror real research workflows.
• Excellent written English (C1+ level).
