Freelance Clinical Research Associate

About the role

IQVIA HCPN is seeking a Freelance Clinical Research Associate to support Phase II ophthalmology trials in Argentina (with possible work in Brazil). This part‑time (0.6 FTE) contract lasts approximately six months and involves on‑site monitoring, site initiation, and close‑out activities while traveling within Argentina.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct site evaluation, initiation, monitoring, and interim close‑out visits for Phase II/III oncology and ophthalmology studies.
• Ensure compliance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and IQVIA Biotech SOPs during all monitoring activities.
• Coordinate with investigators, internal departments, and the Clinical Trial Manager to prepare sites, train staff on protocol, regulatory issues, eCRF and EDC systems.
• Perform source data verification, resolve data queries, and prepare monitoring reports and correspondence.
• Manage investigational product inventory, document stability and storage conditions, and oversee field evaluation visits.
• Mentor junior CRAs and provide field training to senior CRAs as needed.

Required profile

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in clinical trial monitoring or related CRO activities.
• Strong knowledge of the clinical research process, medical terminology, and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to travel within Argentina and work independently in a freelance setting.
• Excellent communication skills to act as the primary contact between IQVIA Biotech and investigators.
