Freelance Chemistry & Python Expert for AI Training

About the role

This freelance position supports Mindrift’s AI projects by creating challenging computational chemistry problems that require Python solutions. You will work remotely on a project‑based basis, contributing your chemistry expertise and programming skills to improve AI evaluation.

Key responsibilities

• Design original computational chemistry problems that mimic real research workflows.
• Create Python‑based tasks using libraries such as NumPy, SciPy, and domain‑specific chemistry packages.
• Ensure problems are computationally intensive and cannot be solved manually within reasonable timeframes.
• Develop problems that require non‑trivial reasoning in physical, quantum, and molecular modeling.
• Base tasks on actual research challenges or practical chemistry applications.
• Validate solutions with Python code and standard computational chemistry methods.
• Document problem statements clearly and provide verified correct answers.

Required profile

• Degree in Chemistry or a related field.
• Strong Python proficiency for numerical validation.
• At least 2 years of professional experience (research, applied, or teaching).
• Experience with numerical methods and computational chemistry concepts.
• Excellent written English (C1 level or higher).
