Founding Community & Content Lead

About the role

Otto is creating a new category of personal AI computer and needs a charismatic, hands‑on Community & Content Lead to become one of its primary voices. This remote, full‑time position will shape the experience customers have from onboarding to ongoing community participation.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and grow the Otto Discord community, welcoming new members and creating an engaging onboarding flow.
• Answer product questions, lead weekly community calls, product demos, office hours, and Q&A sessions.
• Build relationships with power users, creators, developers, and early adopters.
• Identify recurring customer questions, concerns, and feature requests to inform product improvements.
• Develop ambassador, referral, and early‑access programs.
• Script, film, and edit on‑camera product explainer videos and tutorials.
• Record product updates, feature announcements, and community content.
• Write onboarding and lifecycle email sequences, launch emails, newsletters, and community updates.
• Test different messaging and content formats to improve activation, engagement, retention, and community participation.

Required profile

• Exceptional spoken and written English with a clear, polished style for a North American audience.
• Confident on‑camera presence and strong copywriting/storytelling ability.
• Experience managing online communities (Discord, Slack, Reddit, etc.) and hosting webinars or live sessions.
• Ability to learn technical products quickly and explain them simply.
• Strong understanding of internet culture, startups, AI, and creator communities.
• Highly organized, responsive, proactive, and comfortable working independently in a fast‑moving startup.
• Willingness to work substantial overlap with U.S. Pacific Time.
• Preference for experience with AI products, developer tools, consumer technology, or SaaS.
