Financial Planning Analyst

About the role

Gain is seeking a highly analytical FP&A Analyst to strengthen its financial planning, forecasting, modeling, and strategic decision‑making capabilities. The role will develop and maintain sophisticated three‑statement financial models and provide actionable insights to senior leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and continuously improve integrated three‑statement financial models, including scenario and sensitivity analyses.
• Lead the annual budgeting process, partner with department heads on operating budgets, and maintain rolling forecasts.
• Analyze actual results versus budget/forecast, prepare monthly and quarterly management reporting packages, and develop KPIs and dashboards.
• Support strategic initiatives by creating financial analyses, business cases, and valuation models for acquisitions, investments, and new products.
• Develop detailed cash‑flow and liquidity forecasts and collaborate with Treasury on funding needs.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in FP&A, M&A, investment banking, corporate finance, or a similarly rigorous finance role.
• Proven ability to build fully integrated three‑statement models from the ground up.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and the relationships between income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow.
• Experience developing budgets, forecasts, and long‑range financial plans.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel skills.
• Financial modeling, including forecasting, scenario analysis, and sensitivity analysis.
• Knowledge of BI reporting tools.
