Finance Business Partner – Accounting & FP&A

About the role

MAVI is seeking a Finance Business Partner to bridge accounting data with operational decision‑making for a high‑growth US company. The role is fully remote, based in Argentina, and works closely with department heads to align budgets, forecasts, and actual spend.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with department heads on budgeting, forecasting, and spend tracking, ensuring alignment with recorded financials.
• Build and maintain departmental budgets, rolling forecasts, and integrate them into the company plan.
• Conduct monthly variance analysis, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
• Prepare accruals, prepaids, reclassifications, and review P&L coding during month‑end close.
• Collaborate with AP and procurement to control vendor spend and cost allocation.
• Reconcile planning data to the general ledger to maintain data integrity.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in accounting and FP&A with a solid accounting foundation.
• Hands‑on experience with US GAAP or IFRS month‑end close processes.
• Proven ability to work with non‑finance stakeholders and explain financial results in plain language.
• Strong written and spoken English for daily interaction with US teams.

Required skills

• Advanced financial modeling in Excel or Google Sheets.
• Experience with ERP/accounting systems such as NetSuite, Sage Intacct, QuickBooks Online, or Xero.
• Familiarity with planning or BI tools like Adaptive, Pigment, Mosaic, Power BI, or Looker.
• Use of AI tools in finance workflows and ability to validate AI‑generated output.
