Family/General Practitioner – Pain Management (Nelson)

About the role

We are seeking a Family Practitioner or General Practitioner to join our well‑established clinic in Nelson. The position focuses on pain management, offering both in‑person and virtual care to patients across the region. Full EMR support, on‑site billing, and a collaborative team ensure a smooth workflow.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive primary care and pain management services to a diverse patient base.
• Utilize the clinic’s EMR system for documentation, ordering, and follow‑up.
• Participate in virtual health consultations for patients unable to travel.
• Collaborate with referral networks and contribute to practice growth.
• Engage in ongoing training if pain‑management experience is limited.

Required profile

• Medical degree with licensure to practice in British Columbia.
• Interest in pain management; willingness to undergo training if needed.
• Strong communication skills and a patient‑focused attitude.
• Ability to work in a flexible, innovative environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems.
