Family Practitioner – Open Access Clinic in Nelson, BC

About the role

Join a well‑established, open‑access family practice in beautiful Nelson, BC. The clinic provides prompt, efficient appointments for attached, unattached and visiting patients, operating Monday to Saturday with flexible shift coverage.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive primary care to a diverse patient population.
• Maintain continuity of care through longitudinal family physician model.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including physicians, nurse practitioner, registered nurse, medical assistants and billing specialists.
• Utilise Telus Health Wolf EMR for accurate documentation and billing.
• Participate in on‑call or extended‑hour coverage as needed.

Required profile

• Board‑certified Family or General Practitioner with a strong work ethic.
• Willingness to work a minimum of three shifts per week, ranging from 24 to 40 hours.
• Ability to thrive in a busy, friendly environment and collaborate with a supportive team.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Telus Health Wolf EMR.

What we offer

• Fee‑for‑service remuneration up to CAD 450,000 per year, based on work volume.
• Potential additional incentives under the Rural Subsidiary Agreement, including retention premium, flat fee, recruitment incentive and CME funding.
