About the role

We are looking for a Family Physician to join a collaborative, shared‑practice environment in Nelson, British Columbia. The position offers a blended rural family medicine scope, combining longitudinal primary care, shared inpatient duties, and participation in a rotating Doctor‑of‑the‑Day hospital schedule. Flexible part‑time or full‑time arrangements are available.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive primary care to a shared patient panel alongside one other physician.
• Participate in shared inpatient coverage at Kootenay Lake Hospital on a rotating basis.
• Engage in Doctor‑of‑the‑Day responsibilities, ensuring continuity of care across the practice.
• Offer virtual care sessions, including the option for a dedicated virtual‑care day.
• Contribute to optional functional‑medicine clinic sessions up to twice weekly.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to support flexible scheduling and cross‑coverage for vacations and leaves.

Required profile

• Qualified Family Physician licensed to practice in British Columbia.
• Interest in a shared‑practice model with collaborative decision‑making.
• Willingness to participate in inpatient rotations and on‑call schedules.
• Flexibility to adapt to part‑time or full‑time workloads as preferred.
