Family Practitioner / General Practitioner

About the role

Join a well‑established, open‑access family practice in beautiful Nelson, BC. The clinic provides prompt, continuous care to attached, unattached and visiting patients and seeks two energetic family physicians to work flexible shifts, including Saturdays.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive primary care to a diverse patient population.
• Maintain continuity of care through longitudinal patient relationships.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of physicians, nurse practitioner, nurses, medical assistants and billing specialists.
• Utilise specialist support from local and regional hospitals as needed.
• Document patient encounters using the Telus Health Wolf EMR system.

Required profile

• Medical degree and valid license to practice in British Columbia.
• Enthusiasm for working in a busy, friendly environment.
• Willingness to commit to a minimum of three shifts per week (24‑40 hours total).
• Ability to adapt to flexible scheduling, including extended hours and Saturdays.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Telus Health Wolf EMR.
