Family Practitioner / General Practitioner

About the role

Join a well‑established, open‑access family practice in beautiful Nelson, BC. The clinic operates Monday to Saturday and offers flexible shift coverage, with a focus on providing prompt, high‑quality continuity of care to both attached and unattached patients.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive primary care to a diverse patient population.
• Manage scheduled and walk‑in appointments, including extended hours and weekend shifts.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of physicians, nurse practitioner, registered nurse, medical assistants, and billing specialists.
• Utilize specialist support from local and regional hospitals as needed.
• Maintain accurate patient records using the Telus Health Wolf EMR system.

Required profile

• Licensed family or general practitioner with a strong work ethic.
• Enthusiastic about working in a busy, friendly environment.
• Willing to commit to a minimum of three shifts per week (24‑40 hours total).
• Comfortable with fee‑for‑service and longitudinal payment models.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Telus Health Wolf EMR.
