About the role

We are looking for a Family Physician to join a collaborative, shared‑practice model in Nelson, British Columbia. The position offers a blended rural family medicine scope that includes longitudinal primary care, shared inpatient duties at Kootenay Lake Hospital, and participation in a rotating Doctor‑of‑the‑Day schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive primary care to a shared patient panel alongside one other physician.
• Participate in shared inpatient coverage, averaging 1–5 inpatient days per 12‑week rotation.
• Take part in the Doctor‑of‑the‑Day hospital schedule on a rotating basis.
• Deliver virtual care, including at least one dedicated virtual‑care day per week.
• Optionally contribute to a functional‑medicine clinic up to twice weekly.

Required profile

• Board‑certified Family Physician licensed to practice in British Columbia.
• Interest in a team‑based, shared‑practice environment.
• Willingness to share inpatient responsibilities and collaborate on scheduling.
• Flexibility to work part‑time or full‑time (approximately 0.5–1.0 FTE) and adapt to hybrid clinic/virtual care.
