External Audit Manager

About the role

Join PwC's Acceleration Center in Buenos Aires as an External Audit Manager. You will lead audit engagements, provide independent assurance on financial statements, and help clients improve their internal controls while working alongside global Advisory, Assurance, Tax and Business Services teams.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, execute and supervise comprehensive audits of client financial statements.
• Evaluate internal control environments and recommend improvements.
• Analyze financial data to identify material misstatements, fraud risks or errors.
• Develop audit strategies and detailed audit plans aligned with regulatory standards.
• Collaborate closely with clients to understand their business operations and reporting needs.
• Lead, coach and mentor junior staff throughout the audit lifecycle.
• Manage project budgets, timelines and quality standards to ensure successful delivery.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant or equivalent professional designation.
• Significant experience (typically 5+ years) in external audit within a Big‑Four or similar environment.
• Proven ability to lead audit teams and manage client relationships.
• Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills in English; Spanish is a plus.
