Engineering Operations

About the role

The Engineering Operations role sits within the Technology organization and works cross‑functionally with Product, Engineering, and Data teams. It is a hands‑on, non‑managerial position focused on improving how the department runs and delivering internal initiatives that boost team effectiveness.

Key responsibilities

• Own recurring operational tasks such as coordinating cadences, tracking commitments, maintaining tooling, and keeping cross‑team workflows smooth.
• Lead special projects end‑to‑end, including onboarding improvements, internal curriculum creation, and documentation standardisation.
• Design and run team health checks: define metrics, gather input, surface insights, and help leaders act on them.
• Transform ambiguous ideas into structured plans, clear milestones, working implementations, and iterative processes.
• Build, document, and refine internal workflows that span Product, Engineering, and Data.
• Support review and performance processes by structuring, collecting, and synthesising needed information.
• Create and maintain templates, playbooks, and documentation to ensure repeatable processes.
• Partner with stakeholders to identify operational friction, propose solutions, and drive adoption through influence.
