Email & SMS Marketing Manager

About the role

Valatam is looking for an experienced Email & SMS Marketing Manager to own and expand its retention marketing program. This hands‑on position blends strategic planning, creative execution, performance analysis, and operational management to drive revenue growth through customer lifecycle initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a monthly email and SMS marketing calendar aligned with business goals.
• Plan, execute, and optimize promotional campaigns, including welcome, post‑purchase, browse abandonment, win‑back, and retention flows.
• Create and refine segmentation strategies to improve targeting, engagement, and list health.
• Write compelling copy and design emails using brand guidelines and existing assets.
• Build, schedule, test, and launch campaigns through Klaviyo and manage SMS campaigns via Postscript or similar platforms.
• Coordinate approvals with leadership, monitor KPIs (revenue attribution, open rates, CTR, conversion, subscriber growth), and conduct structured A/B testing.
• Manage deliverability, authentication (SPF, DKIM, DMARC), and protect sender reputation.
• Ensure compliance with CAN‑SPAM, TCPA, and other regulations.
• Identify list‑growth opportunities through website integrations, social channels, lead magnets, and referrals.
• Document SOPs, organize assets, and support cross‑functional marketing objectives.

Required profile

• 5+ years of hands‑on email and SMS marketing experience for DTC e‑commerce brands.
• Strong analytical mindset with a focus on data‑driven optimization.
• Detail‑oriented, systems‑focused, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
