DMZ Network Engineer

About the role

As a DMZ Service Delivery Infrastructure Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Infrastructure Platform (IP) Network Services you will apply deep knowledge of software, hardware, applications, and technical processes within the infrastructure engineering discipline. You will continue to evolve your technical and cross‑functional knowledge beyond your primary domain.

Key responsibilities

• Build, deploy, migrate, and operate the network perimeter DMZ switching and routing environment.
• Support and troubleshoot DMZ switching and routing designed networks.
• Deploy and maintain scripts for device pave/repave and automate day‑to‑day tasks.
• Upgrade DMZ switches and routers with new code and software.
• Provide service‑delivery troubleshooting with T3 and vendor management.
• Coordinate and collaborate with cross‑team stakeholders.
• Use enterprise‑authorized AI capabilities to accelerate infrastructure analysis, design documentation, and handle operational data securely.
• Apply reuse‑first, AI‑assisted practices to identify recurring issues, validate remediation options, and ensure changes are traceable and auditable.

Required profile

• 5+ years of network engineering and implementation experience in a large enterprise.
• In‑depth knowledge of DMZ architecture and Cisco datacenter fabric.
• Strong expertise in BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, VRF, TCP/IP, and ISP routing.
• Software development experience with Python, Ansible, Terraform, or JSON.
• Understanding of micro‑services, CI/CD pipelines such as Jenkins, and APIs.
• CCIE certification is a plus.
• BS/BA degree or equivalent experience.
• Demonstrated use of AI tools in infrastructure workflows with strong validation habits and awareness of data sensitivity.
• Advanced English communication skills.
