Cybersecurity Specialist – Remote Contract

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Cybersecurity Specialist to join a leading information services firm on a contract basis. The role is fully remote, allowing you to work from anywhere while performing penetration testing and security assessments for critical infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive network, web application, and API penetration tests.
• Run vulnerability scans, analyze results, and identify security weaknesses.
• Develop and execute custom exploits to validate risks.
• Document findings in detailed reports with remediation recommendations.
• Collaborate with engineering and security teams to verify fixes.

Required profile

• Proven experience in penetration testing and vulnerability assessment.
• Strong analytical abilities and clear communication of technical findings.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.

Required skills

• Burp Suite
• OWASP ZAP
• Metasploit
• Python scripting
• Bash or PowerShell
• Knowledge of OWASP Top 10, MITRE ATT&CK, CIS benchmarks
• Familiarity with Windows and Linux operating systems
