Contracting Risk & Independence Senior Manager (US Client)

About the role

PwC is seeking a senior manager to lead contracting risk and independence activities for its US client base. The role combines legal expertise with strategic advisory, ensuring contracts are compliant, risk‑aware and aligned with firm standards.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee drafting, negotiation and redlining of service contracts with clients, focusing on risk, legal and commercial terms.
• Collaborate with Risk & Independence (R&I) and business teams to assess contract‑related performance risks.
• Educate stakeholders and clients on contractual provisions and internal controls.
• Develop and maintain internal controls to ensure ongoing contract compliance.
• Coach and mentor junior staff, fostering high‑performing, diverse teams.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 years of experience, with at least 5 years managing increasingly complex contract negotiations.
• Strong analytical mindset and ability to navigate ambiguous situations.
• Proven ability to communicate complex legal concepts clearly to varied audiences.
• Commitment to professional standards, firm code of conduct and independence requirements.
