Construction Deputy HSE Manager

About the role

Met T&S, the global employment company of MAIRE Group, is recruiting a Construction Deputy HSE Manager for projects in Argentina and South America, starting in 2026/2027. The HSE Manager implements and monitors the MAIRE Group HSE policy and management system at site, ensuring compliance with HSE standards, conducting inspections and audits, investigating accidents and keeping records. The role reports operationally to the Site Construction Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Support and monitor the implementation of the MAIRE Group HSE policy and management system at site
• Perform the Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) and take part in the Job Safety Analysis (JSA)
• Check the adequacy and application of the Site HSE Plan and related procedures, updating HSE documentation as needed
• Verify that subcontractors comply with HSE procedures, regulations and standards
• Organise and take part in periodic HSE walkarounds, inspections and audits, and follow up corrective actions
• Organise and coordinate HSE training and HSE meetings, and cooperate with the client on work permits
• Investigate work accidents and keep accident records, and promote personnel training
• Lead the Site HSE Committee and the emergency response and fire prevention teams, including drills
• Prepare the HSE section of monthly progress reports, site HSE statistics and recovery plans where targets are missed

Required profile

• Fluent Spanish (mandatory) and English
• Experience managing large industrial, EPC, energy, oil & gas, petrochemical or infrastructure construction sites
• Understanding of local South American construction environments, contractors and regulations
• Comfortable in multicultural, international project teams and willing to support projects across Argentina and the region
