Collections Analyst - French Speaker

About the role

The Collections Analyst will manage payment collection from delinquent customers, maintain sales ledgers, and help achieve monthly accounts receivable reduction targets. The role involves regular reporting to collections leaders, supporting SOX compliance, and providing detailed collection data to divisional business partners.

Key responsibilities

• Handle inbound and outbound calls and emails for payment collection.
• Update account statuses, process referrals, and transfer funds.
• Follow up on received payments, obtain remittance details, and process write‑off requests.
• Identify and escalate queries, request credit notes, and manage direct‑debit failures.
• Reconcile banking discrepancies, allocate payments (BACS, cheque, credit card), and refund overpayments.
• Maintain system operation standards and data quality.
• Produce team reporting, portfolio analysis, and monthly progress updates.
• Participate in projects to improve credit‑management efficiency.
• Provide forecasting and ad‑hoc data analysis for business partners.

Required profile

• 4‑year college degree.
• 2+ years experience in credit, finance, accounting, customer service, or related fields.
• Advanced proficiency in English and French.
• Demonstrated initiative, independence, and strong analytical/problem‑solving abilities.
