Cloud Security Engineer

About the role

Avature is looking for a Cloud Security Engineer to protect and enhance the security of its sophisticated SaaS platform, which runs on a hybrid infrastructure of AWS and private datacenters. You will join a fast‑growing engineering team and help design, implement, and maintain security controls across the entire stack.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and remediate vulnerabilities in cloud and on‑premise infrastructure.
• Audit platform activity and work with Audit and Risk teams to define and enforce security policies.
• Design and implement security layers in collaboration with other engineering groups.
• Manage identity and access controls, including role‑based access (RBAC).
• Analyze deployment specifications and ensure they meet security standards.
• Lead security projects and drive continuous improvement of the security posture.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of Linux server and database hardening.
• Deep understanding of networking, firewalls, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
• Experience with data encryption, key management, and hybrid cloud security (AWS and private datacenters).
• Hands‑on experience with vulnerability scanning tools, penetration testing, and incident detection/response.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate across multiple engineering teams.
