About the role

EY's Global Delivery Services is looking for a software engineer to lead the delivery of solution or infrastructure development services for a large or more complex project. The role uses strong technical capabilities and hands-on experience, with accountability for the design, development, delivery and maintenance of solutions and infrastructure, and for meeting business and user requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Solve complex and escalated project aspects, performing coding, debugging, testing and troubleshooting throughout development
• Provide advanced technical expertise and technical leadership, driving continuous improvement
• Work with peers in Development & Engineering and Architecture teams to build leading solutions
• Lead the work group and set expectations, principles, structures, tools and responsibilities
• Drive consistency in processes, procedures, standards and technical design

Required profile

• More than 10 years of applied experience
• Significant experience in an internal or external software or platform engineering role, or similar
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, IT, mathematics or a related field preferred
• Self-starter, independent thinker, curious and creative, with ambition and passion

Required skills

• Advanced technical proficiency in designing, developing and debugging solutions
• Advanced knowledge of C#, Java or Python
• CI/CD with code and configuration management and automation tools such as GitHub and ADO
• Experience tuning language models for tasks such as text generation, summarization and question answering
• Knowledge of embedding models and their use in NLP tasks like similarity matching, clustering and information retrieval
• Familiarity with agentic systems combining AI models with external tools, and with evaluation frameworks for AI models and agents
• Nice to have: Microsoft/Google/AWS certificates, modern delivery methodologies, and Kubernetes and Docker experience
