Chief Business Analyst

About the role

We are seeking a Chief Business Analyst with strong product ownership capabilities to lead a complex Bill of Materials web application. You will be responsible for the end‑to‑end definition, documentation, and delivery of critical financial calculations, acting as the single source of truth for business logic and product direction.

Key responsibilities

• Own and maintain the product’s business logic, including financial formulas, rounding rules, and summarisation mechanisms.
• Validate monetary calculations by analysing aggregation logic and formula correctness.
• Reverse‑engineer undocumented system behaviour to capture legacy business rules.
• Document complete business flows, covering happy paths, edge cases, exceptions and dependencies.
• Lead discovery workshops, translate findings into EPICs and User Stories, and write Gherkin acceptance criteria.
• Manage and prioritise the backlog, ensuring traceability from discovery through implementation.
• Set expectations on scope, timelines and trade‑offs, handling stakeholder friction professionally.
• Create user‑facing documentation such as guides, FAQs and manuals.

Required profile

• 7+ years of business analysis experience with a product ownership focus.
• Proven ability to elicit requirements through workshops and interviews.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Excellent numerical reasoning for complex financial calculations.
• Upper‑Intermediate English (B2+) proficiency.

Required skills

• Gherkin (Given/When/Then) for acceptance criteria.
• Jira, Confluence, Miro or similar collaboration tools.
• Basic SQL or data‑querying skills.
