Capital Projects Manager Assistant

About the role

The Capital Projects Manager Assistant supports Botetourt County’s Capital Projects Manager in delivering facility and infrastructure construction and renovation initiatives. Working within the County’s administration, the assistant helps keep projects on schedule, within budget, and compliant with all relevant policies and regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in planning, coordinating, and administering capital construction and infrastructure projects.
• Track project schedules, budgets, and documentation throughout all phases.
• Prepare reports and updates for senior management and stakeholders.
• Support the close‑out process, ensuring all contractual and regulatory requirements are met.
• Maintain project files, permits, and correspondence in accordance with County procedures.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in construction management or related field preferred.
• Experience in public‑sector or construction project administration is an asset.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external contractors.

• Proficiency with project tracking tools and Microsoft Office suite.
