Backend Software Engineer – DevOps

About the role

Avature is looking for a Backend Software Engineer with a strong DevOps focus to build and maintain the environments that run our SaaS applications. You will bridge development and infrastructure teams, ensuring reliable deployments across multiple data‑centers.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and manage deployment and configuration pipelines for Avature’s applications.
• Develop tools that automate environment creation, provisioning and continuous testing.
• Work with virtualization platforms such as AWS, KVM, LXD and Docker.
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines and promote best practices in infrastructure management.
• Perform code reviews, refactor existing code and improve overall code quality.
• Facilitate communication between development and IT operations teams.

Required profile

• Solid software development experience with at least one structured language (PHP, Java or Python).
• Strong understanding of Linux operating systems and OS concepts.
• Analytical mindset with excellent troubleshooting abilities.
• Willingness to learn or existing experience with infrastructure‑as‑code tools.
