Backend Engineer - Remote

About the role

Join the customers team as a Backend Engineer, designing and building scalable backend systems for innovative digital products. You will work remotely with a group of top‑tier engineers, shaping the core technology infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain high‑performance backend services and APIs.
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications and robust solutions.
• Optimize systems for reliability, security and efficiency.
• Write clean, well‑documented, thoroughly tested code following best practices.
• Participate in code reviews, mentoring and knowledge‑sharing sessions.
• Monitor, troubleshoot and resolve production issues, driving continuous improvement.
• Contribute to architecture discussions and propose innovative solutions.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of professional backend development experience.
• Proven ability to design and implement RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases and data modeling.
• Strong understanding of security, authentication and authorization.
• Hands‑on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP or Azure) and containerization.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to thrive in a fully remote, fast‑paced environment.
