Associate Medical Director - Rheumatology

About the role

iQVIA is looking for a physician board-certified in Rheumatology to join its medical global team and support the rheumatology therapeutic area. The Associate Medical Director provides medical, clinical and scientific advisory expertise across iQVIA divisions, supports medical science involvement in clinical trials and contributes to business development with therapeutic and medical insights. The role is home-based and based in Argentina.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as a Global or Regional Medical Advisor on projects, giving scientific guidance to project leaders
• Support investigative sites on protocol-related issues and conduct medical reviews of protocols, adverse events and clinical study reports
• Be available around the clock for urgent protocol issues
• Develop medically sound delivery strategies for complex studies
• Contribute to client proposals, including budgeting for medical monitoring
• Review protocols for scientific and regulatory feasibility
• Take part in bid defenses and engage in strategic business development

Required profile

• Medical degree with a relevant license and board certification in Rheumatology
• At least five years of clinical medicine experience
• Experience in clinical trials
• Up-to-date knowledge of the therapeutic area
• Ability to advise on multiple assignments effectively
• Advanced English, written and spoken, tested during interviews
