Associate Medical Director – Ophthalmologist (Part‑Time)

About the role

IQVIA is seeking an experienced ophthalmologist to join its global medical team as an Associate Medical Director on a part‑time basis. You will provide medical, clinical, and scientific guidance across multiple divisions, supporting the design and execution of clinical trials and business development initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as a Global/Regional Medical Advisor and Scientific Advisor on assigned projects.
• Provide medical monitoring, strategic input, and therapeutic expertise throughout the project lifecycle.
• Support investigative sites with protocol clarifications, eligibility determinations, and patient‑safety issues.
• Review protocols, Investigational Drug Brochures, case report forms, and adverse‑event reports.
• Collaborate with project leaders to ensure scientific rigor and regulatory compliance.

Required profile

• Medical degree from an accredited, internationally recognized institution.
• Board certification in Ophthalmology (mandatory).
• 3–5 years of clinical medicine experience, including clinical research as an investigator or in pharma, CRO, or biotech.
• Strong knowledge of federal and local regulations governing clinical research.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills in English.
