Area Sales Manager – Process Gas Analyzers

About the role

ABB is seeking an Area Sales Manager to drive new business and grow existing opportunities for process gas analyzers in the Buenos Aires region. You will support the sales organization with deep product and market knowledge while contributing to the Automation Business Area.

Key responsibilities

• Create and coordinate division sales plans for the assigned area in collaboration with sales teams.
• Analyze customer needs and competitor offers using market information and sales data.
• Ensure effective marketing actions, product launches and communication of value propositions to customers and the sales organization.
• Support customers in selecting technically appropriate, cost‑effective solutions and prepare competitive offers.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronic, Instrumentation, Chemical, Industrial Engineering or related technical discipline.
• 8+ years of proven experience in technical sales, business development or account management within industrial automation, process instrumentation or analytical solutions.
• Experience selling to process industries such as Oil & Gas, Mining, Power Generation, Water & Wastewater, Food & Beverage, Pulp & Paper or Chemicals.
• Advanced English proficiency (written and spoken) and willingness to travel within the territory.

Required skills

• Measurement and analytics solutions knowledge, including instrumentation, process analyzers, transmitters, flow, pressure, temperature, level and gas analysis technologies.
• Strong consultative selling and problem‑solving abilities.
