Area Construction Manager – Mining Projects

About the role

Fluor is seeking an experienced Area Construction Manager to lead construction activities for a large mining project in Argentina. The role oversees all field construction, ensuring compliance with drawings, specifications, schedules, and cost estimates while fostering a strong safety culture.

Key responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate area construction activities in line with project plans, specifications, schedules, and budgets.
• Manage contractors and subcontractors, ensuring adherence to Fluor Operating System Requirements and safety standards.
• Control project schedule and cost through efficient use of workforce, materials, tools, and equipment.
• Monitor productivity and implement actions to maintain labor productivity and cost‑effectiveness.
• Lead safety initiatives and promote a proactive safety culture on site.

Required profile

• Accredited four‑year degree in a relevant field (or equivalent experience) with at least 18 years of construction experience.
• Proven ability to communicate effectively with management, clients, vendors, and project teams.
• Authorized to work in Argentina and available for a rotational schedule.
• Advanced level of English proficiency.
