Analytical Laboratory Senior Operator (P&T Analyst)

About the role

Umicore is seeking an Analytical Laboratory Senior Operator to perform sampling and analysis for development batches and process optimization, supporting the Precious Metals Chemistry business.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct sampling and analytical testing for development and optimization batches.
• Collaborate in generating sector documentation and respond to regulatory affairs requests.
• Operate and clean laboratory equipment according to SOPs, ensuring calibrations and qualifications are up‑to‑date.

Required profile

• Technical Chemistry degree or advanced student in Chemistry, Pharmacy or Chemical Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in similar laboratory roles.
• Knowledge of GMP regulations and preferably experience in the chemical or pharmaceutical industry.
• Intermediate to advanced English proficiency.

Required skills

• Proficiency with laboratory equipment: HPLC, GC, Atomic Absorption (AA).
• Understanding of GMP standards and documentation practices.
