About the role

The Accounts Payable Analyst will manage BYD's payment obligations to vendors, suppliers and service providers, ensuring accuracy, timeliness and compliance with local tax regulations. The position is full‑time and onsite at the Buenos Aires office, requiring strong organizational abilities and effective communication across departments.

Key responsibilities

• Request, register and process invoices from internal departments such as Marketing, Sales, Administration, After‑sales and HR.
• Perform daily reconciliations with the top five suppliers and maintain clear account statements.
• Monitor pending invoices weekly and monthly to support month‑end accruals.
• Accrue expenses when necessary and process employee‑related expenses in the ERP.
• Prepare payment plans for review by the Financial Coordinator, including withholding tax (WHT) applications.
• Submit payment files to banks, vendors and tax authorities on schedule.
• Match purchase orders with invoices and communicate payment details to suppliers.
• Execute foreign‑currency payments abroad within required timelines.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration or a related field (graduated or near graduation).
• Minimum two years of experience in accounts payable and general accounting; experience in multinational or automotive environments is a plus.
• Native Spanish speaker with fluent written and spoken English.
• Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Understanding of tax applications for supplier payments.
• Familiarity with BCRA regulations for foreign commerce (plus).
• Proficiency in using an ERP system.
• Experience with withholding tax (WHT) applications.
