About the role
Cayetlent, an AI‑first cloud services firm, is looking for a senior AI/ML Engineering Manager to lead both client‑facing technical engagements and the growth of its ML engineering team. This fully remote position reports to the Director of AI/ML.
Key responsibilities
- Hire, develop, and manage a team of ML engineers and architects, setting technical standards and conducting performance reviews.
- Lead end‑to‑end customer engagements: assess environments, design architecture, drive pre‑sales, and ensure delivery meets Caylent’s quality standards.
- Shape practice standards, create reference architectures, and mentor engineers through real projects.
Required profile
- 10+ years of hands‑on machine‑learning experience with a proven record of leading client‑facing consulting engagements.
- Demonstrated people‑management skills, including hiring, performance calibration, and career development.
- Deep expertise in the AWS ML ecosystem and at least two ML domains (e.g., computer vision, NLP, generative AI).

- AWS services: SageMaker, SageMaker Pipelines, Feature Store, Model Registry, Clarify, Bedrock, Rekognition, Comprehend, Transcribe, Textract, Personalize, Neptune, Kinesis, Polly.
- ML frameworks and tools: PyTorch, TensorFlow, JAX, Scikit‑learn, XGBoost, HuggingFace, LangChain, LlamaIndex, DSPy, Ollama, MLflow, Weights & Biases.
- Data and orchestration platforms: Apache Spark/PySpark, Kafka, Kinesis, Iceberg, Delta Lake, Hudi, AWS Glue, Airflow/MWAA, Dagster, Kubeflow.
- Vector databases and retrieval: Pinecone, pgvector, Amazon OpenSearch, Weaviate.
- Foundation model adaptation: LoRA, QLoRA, PEFT, RLHF, DPO, inference optimization, RAG, agentic system design.
